Our commitments to you
We define consultation as ‘a process of dialogue which leads to a decision’.
To make sure people who live and work in the borough have a say and influence decisions that affect them, we're committed to making sure all Council consultations are effective and efficient.
Consultation Charter
Our Consultation Charter has been created so you know what you can expect from Haringey Council:
- when we consult with people in Haringey
- how we listen to the views of residents and communities
- what we do with the information we gather
- what happens as a result of your feedback
You can read the charter from the attached files section below.
Community engagement and involvement
In addition to our Charter we are also committed to involving and consulting with local people in all planning processes and decisions; to listening to local people and taking their views into account. For more information take a look at the Haringey Statement of Community Involvement.
Haringey’s Community Engagement Framework: 'Working together transparently so communities can influence and improve public services’ also commits the Council and its partners ‘To engage with local communities and empower them to shape policies, strategies and services that affect their lives'.
If you have any comments about the charter, calendar or any of our consultations then please contact the Consultation team.
