Drug and alcohol support services for children, young people and families in Haringey
The consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part by completing a questionnaire, writing or emailing us.
Looking at what you told us, what you thought and the suggestions you made will help us to ensure that drug and alcohol support services for children, young people and families meet the needs of local people.
What happens next?
We will analyse all your responses and use the results to help design services that will be provided from April 2014 onwards. We will post any updates on this page.
Services are currently provided in the borough by:
- Insight Platform (external link) who support children and young people who misuse drugs and alcohol
- COMET - formerly COSMIC (external link) who support children and young people who are affected by their parents' drug and alcohol misuse
Every five years we have to buy these services again. We ask anyone interested in providing them - including Insight Haringey and Cosmic (if they want to) - to compete with each other to win a contract. This competition helps us buy the best services for you and your family.
A final decision will be taken by Haringey Council Cabinet at a meeting on 17 December 2013 as to what organisation will be awarded the contract for The Children, Young People and Families Substance Misuse Service. Like all Council meetings this is a public meeting. More information about the meeting can be found in the Council’s meetings calendar.
