Revisions to Polling Districts and Polling Places in Haringey

Following the elections that took place in May 2022, Haringey Council has reviewed the polling scheme.

A Notice of Holding a Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (PDF, 181KB) was published on Tuesday 20 September 2022.

Information about the proposals

The proposals are set out in the Polling Districts and Polling Places Review Consultation Paper - updated November 2022 (PDF, 840KB) and propose the following changes:

  • Changes to the polling district boundaries are proposed in the following 4 wards:
    • Noel Park
    • Hornsey
    • Tottenham Central
    • West Green
  • Changing the polling place in Seven Sisters (SES-A) to a portable building
  • Changing the polling place for Highgate district (HGH-C) to Highgate Library

Improvements will also be made to the standard and accessibility of the portable buildings and refinements to the arrangements at some polling places as part of the implementation of the changes.

Making Representations

Electors within the authority, within the Hornsey & Wood Green and Tottenham Parliamentary constituencies, may make a representation. Some of the new wards cut across the Hornsey & Wood Green and Tottenham Constituency boundaries.

  • Any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability

Comments and submissions are invited up to 5pm on Thursday 24 November 2022.

At the conclusion of the consultation period, a final report will be published and submitted for approval by the Corporate Committee of the Council on 2 February 2023. The new polling scheme will be used in any elections following this date.

Regulations require that all representations received are published along with the final report. These will be published on this page.

The Electoral Commission’s access checklist has been used to assess the suitability of all venues.
