Wood Green Library

Wood Green Library is located on the High Road.

As well as a wide range of books to borrow, the library has other services available including our Contact Centre and Haringey Learns. There are regular events for adults and children, including film showings, early years activities, and book readings by local and bestselling authors.

All our libraries have fiction and non-fiction book collections for adults and children, DVDs to rent, computers, free wi-fi, printers, photocopiers, study spaces rooms and meeting rooms for hire.

Improvement works at Wood Green Library

A number of projects are currently underway at the library to add new community spaces and make improvements for library users. These include:

  • Eat Wood Green: a new community-led food growing and education space is opening on the balcony of the children’s library
  • new podcast studios: thanks to funding from the GLA, we are transforming 3 internal spaces into recording studios and a study space for use by the local community
  • entrance upgrade: we’re improving the appearance, safety and sustainability of library entrances, including new lighting and repairs to Wood Green’s iconic illuminated sign

The library and shopping arcade are open as usual while the works are underway, and we are making every effort to minimise disruption for library users.

The works are planned to be completed in Spring 2025.

This is part of a broader programme of renovation at the library, with further works planned for later in the year. We will be providing an update to library users very soon.
