New River - Concessionary memberships
There are concessionary memberships available for Haringey residents at New River Sport and Fitness.
Please check to see if you are eligible for a concessionary membership, allowing you access to our fantastic sports and fitness centre with great services at a reduced rate.
Haringey residents may be entitled to reduced membership fees providing access to the gym, group exercise classes and use of the athletics track (subject to availability), at all times. Note that full price must be paid for indoor and outdoor tennis court hire (an outdoor court is just £5.25 per hour per court).
All applicants for memberships must provide proof that they live in Haringey (a recent utility or Council Tax bill, or a bank statement in your name are acceptable forms of proof of address. All documents must be dated within the last 3 months).
For all categories except disability and 65+ proof will be required every 6 months to ensure your membership continues.
Concessionary Benefits

Receiving one of the following benefits:
| A recent letter from the Department of Work and Pensions. |
| Haringey Carer | A recent letter from Haringey Council confirming you have Carer status for a person who lives in Haringey. |
| On an Entry to Employment (e2e) scheme | A recent letter from the Department of Work and Pensions/relevant organisation. |
| Income Support | A recent letter from the Department of Work and Pensions. |
| Housing benefit and/or Council Tax benefit | A recent letter from Haringey Council or Council Tax bill renewal (this will need to be seen every 6 months) |
| Income-based Jobseekers allowance | A recent letter from the Department of Work and Pensions. |
| Universal Credit | A recent letter from the Department of Work and Pensions. |
| Working Tax Credit (and qualification for NHS exemption) | NHS exemption charges certificate and recent letter from the NHS. Working Tax Credit must be on the NHS card. |
Children (aged 15 and under) whose parents qualify for concessionary membership are eligible for junior concessionary discounts, on provision of proof of residency and parental concession proof. Please present your documents to the reception staff or upload them onto the Membership portal online
Please note: the centre will copy all documents submitted to be retained on file as proof of eligibility and retain them while your membership remains valid.
