Barratt Gardens are the formal gardens that lie to the south of the common. Here you’ll find a wisteria covered pergola that offers shade from both the sun and rain.
Improvement works
Works to improve Wood Green Common started on 6 January 2025.
The improvement works will comprise of the following:
- new small children’s play area
- new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
- new outdoor gym
- new Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems
- soft landscaping – including planting of new trees
- new footways and park furniture
These works will require a full temporary closure of the Wood Green Common park area. We will update this page with details on reopening when they will become available.
