Easter Fun! There is an extensive programme of activities running in Haringey for children and young people during the Easter holidays.
Wood Green Common
Station Road, N22
Wood Green Common lies within five minutes walk of Wood Green tube station. The grassy common is often used for informal kick-abouts and picnics.
Barratt Gardens are the formal gardens that lie to the south of the common, where a wisteria covered pergola offers shade from both the sun and rain.
A playground lies to the north of the common and caters for children up to the age of 12 years.
Haringey Council has been working in partnership with Groundwork to formulate a draft masterplan for Wood Green Common. We are not proposing to make any major changes to the Common but are enhancing the features that are already there such as the rose garden.
Funding for the refurbishment of the playground was secured and works to improve the facilities were completed in spring 2011.
The masterplan can be viewed in the attached files section below.
If would like to comment on the proposed plans please submit an enqiury using our park e-form.
