Finsbury Park Stakeholder Group
Following the introduction of the new Outdoor Events Policy for Haringey at the end of 2013, a Stakeholder Group has been established to work together to successfully implement the Outdoor Events Policy within Finsbury Park.
The aim of the Group is to comment on the overall programme and those parts of each major event management plan which directly affects residents, local businesses and park tenants. Comments are used by Parks Officers to inform either contractual arrangements or to inform the view of the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) in relation to licensable activity which is part of an event.
During 2014 the Group successfully met to discuss and prepare for both the Arctic Monkeys and Wireless Festivals taking place. A separate page has been developed to inform people of planned events taking place in Finsbury Park.
Membership of the Stakeholder Group includes elected councillors, council officers from both Haringey and neighbouring boroughs, residents, traders and police.
Meetings are organised to coincide with the event planning process each year, likely to be February, April, June, September and November.
Please see the attached Terms of Reference – Finsbury Park Events Stakeholder Group (PDF, 51KB) for further information and full membership. Minutes from previous meetings can be found below.
Attendance at the Stakeholder Group meetings is by membership only. If you are interested in raising concerns please do so in the first instance with one of the listed members of the Group.
