Important changes to our Haringey Libraries terms and conditions
We’re updating our terms and conditions because we joining The Libraries Consortium (TLC) (external link) to enhance our services for the benefit of all residents. The updates to the Haringey Libraries terms and conditions take effect on 2 December 2022.
The Haringey Libraries terms and conditions are an agreement between you and Haringey Libraries that governs your use of Haringey Libraries and TLC’s libraries, online products and services.
Joining TLC gives you the benefit of being able to use and borrow from all the group libraries, in 23 local authorities.
To do this Haringey Libraries must share access to your personal library data with the other local authority libraries, so you can borrow books and access other library services.
There is no change to the level of protection your personal information is given.
All the libraries in the consortium comply with the Data Protection Act (DPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring that your personal data is kept safe.
Being part of TLC will give you access to over 8 million library books, thousands of eBook titles, audiobooks and 350 public libraries. You will be able to access all TLC libraries with your existing Haringey Library card.
