Previous Events and Highlights from the 2022 WHM in Haringey Programme
 

 

  • A walk around Tottenham with tour guide Avril Nanton, as she explored the history of some of the women of Haringey
  • A messy craft morning at Wood Green Library and making paper rockets to celebrate Mary Jackson, the first Black female engineer to work at NASA 
  • A screening of a pre-recorded discussion of local young people talking about the state of the contemporary stage with an all-female panel of pioneering contemporary theatre makers
  • An  Activity Day at Broadwater Farm Community Centre (PDF, 3.91MB) where residents could try out taster sports, wellbeing and craft sessions delivered by women in Haringey 
  • A beautifully illustrated talk by Dr Jan Marsh about local artist Marie Spartali Stillman at Bruce Castle Museum
