Learning and Development
For qualified social worker roles, our Learning and Development offer includes classroom based delivery followed up with work based learning to consolidate learning into practice. Haringey Council applies the Signs of Safety Practice Model. For those who wish to progress into managerial roles, there is leadership training provided as well. For non-qualified roles, Haringey Council applies the 70-20-10 model of learning and offers on the job training, in house training and online training through our e-Learning system FUSE.
Haringey Council offers a starting paid annual leave allowance of 26 days plus an additional 8 bank holiday holidays. The annual leave offering increases at different years of service. We also offer the opportunity to buy up to 5 additional days holiday per year.

Haringey Council pays 24.9% of your salary into the highly rated Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). The LGPS is one of the largest public sector pension schemes in the UK. It is a nationwide pension scheme for people working in local government or working for other types of employer participating in the scheme.
