This team manage all childcare cases going through the family proceedings court.
Working for Haringey
This is what Pamela says about working in Children in Care:
“I have been working in Haringey since March 2012. Initially, I thought it would be difficult to work in the borough where I am a resident but I must say that the my manager has been considerate about this when allocating me cases. Haringey is a richly diverse borough and it allows social workers to work with people from different cultural background and learn from this.
I work in the Children in Care Team where we look after children and young people who are not able to return to their family of origin and planning is needed for their future. We take on the role of corporate parent and aim to provide the holistic care that a parent would provide.
I work in a team where most of the workers and all of the managers are permanent – this has allowed me to experience continuity which I consider to be extremely important in terms of myself and the service users I work with.”
We are regularly looking for people to join our Children In Need of Support and Protection Teams
