Volunteering

Why volunteer?

Research shows that volunteering is a good way for people to improve their chances of securing employment by building up confidence and motivation, developing skills and making contacts with potential employers.

Volunteering is especially useful if you are not yet ready to start paid work but are looking to take your first steps into a structured work-like environment. It can also provide skilled migrants, graduates and people returning to work after a short break from employment with opportunities to brush up their CVs and obtain an up-to-date reference, so that their job applications are stronger.

If you are interested in volunteering contact the Connected Communities Team at connectedcommunities@haringey.gov.uk
