Haringey Works, residents and businesses led a successful Careers and Jobs fair on Thursday 6 October at the Dominion Centre in Wood Green, with over 500+ residents seeking a career change, advice, or job opportunities. Employers (over 50+) were in attendance and included the likes of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation,TFL, NHS, Princes Trust, Fusion, as well as many other local businesses like Dusty Knuckle.
Councillor Adam Jogee, Catherine West MP and Mayor of Haringey Councillor Gina Adamou opened the procession by saying a few words focused on jobs, the local economy and opportunities throughout the borough.
The day included panel discussions, workshops and a variety of different topics including careers in construction and unblocking those careers for women. The fair also joined up many of our local Haringey Council services including Haringey Works, Haringey Works Temps, Haringey Learns, Housing, Connected Communities, and our volunteering opportunities.
