Are you looking for a job in the construction industry and live in Haringey?

Haringey Council, Job Centre Plus, The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London and developers working in the borough have come together to form the Haringey Construction Partnership.

The partnership’s aim is to make sure you, our local residents, can benefit from the job and training opportunities created as a result of the physical development taking place in the borough, both in the wider construction industry and end-use jobs once completed.

With so many construction schemes either underway or planned to start soon, there are a range of roles and career opportunities across the wider construction industry on your doorstep right now.

Why work in construction?

When people think of construction jobs many people just think that means 'labourer'. That is just one of a many jobs on offer in construction. There are opportunities available for everyone.

From bricklayers, plasterers, surveyors, plumbers, engineers and office-based roles such as data controlling and in finance, the possibilities of work within the industry are limitless. While in essence construction jobs last for a given time, there is always a new building coming up, and with it comes the need for skilled workers.

Few industries truly make a difference within the community, but the construction sector does. Whether it is a residential building, offices, commercial premises, a new library or doctor’s surgery, whatever you build will have a lasting impression on your community.

Construction gives you the chance to shape the world you live in, and several months or years after the job is done you can look proudly back at what you helped to build.
