Personal and Professional Development courses

Our courses offer all adults the chance to take that first step to learning. Courses can be purely for enjoyment but can also give you ideas for future careers or enhance your personal skills. Our team of qualified tutors support learners to gain confidence, acquire new skills and realise their potential. All courses offer initial assessment and information, advice and guidance on progression pathways.

Well being

Parents’ Toolkit

A series of stand alone workshops that offer positive ways of parenting for present day challenges. You learn how to build strong and secure families and support your children as a team as well as on your own. Participants need to be open minded and willing to change positively. All workshops are based on coaching model.

Well being Toolkit

This programme of stand alone workshops aims to encourage you to take time for yourself and find the power within you to improve or maintain your wellbeing. You learn simple techniques and ways to help you live a more harmonious and balanced life. You learn to find out what you want and how to get there. Workshops are delivered using a coaching framework. Participants on the workshop need to be willing to change positively.

Good Thinking website

Good Thinking is an online tool to support Londoners with their mental health and wellbeing. It is a unique digital resource for Londoners to use to explore and self-care for their mental health and wellbeing.

It provides safe, proactive and early intervention tools to Londoners who are experiencing the four most common mental health and wellbeing concerns: depression, stress, sleep, and anxiety.

Good Thinking signposts to over 120 online resources including wellbeing information sources; guides to improving mental health; courses on and offline; mobile apps and other therapy approaches suitable for London’s modern, highly-mobile population.

To date, Good Thinking has had approximately 145,000 visits (100,810 unique users) across all four conditions (anxiety, sleeplessness, stress and depression).

AAT Bookkeeping and Accounting

A series of workshops and accredited courses to help you review and develop your skills for the workplace. These courses are also suitable as training for new employees and as refreshers if you are returning to work

  • AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping Level 1
  • AAT Access Award in Accounting Software Level 1
  • Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2

Counselling

These accredited courses offer an ideal start for exploring counselling as a career option. You will learn initial counselling skills and values to use in your personal life and in professional work in voluntary or employed capacity. Enrolment on the course is by application and assessment interview. You can book an initial assessment and complete the application form in person by calling us on 020 8489 2596 / 2523

  • Level 2 Award in Introduction to Counselling Skills (CPCAB)

Business Administration

This qualification will help you develop a range of skills relevant to business administration roles, such as communication, presentation skills, and providing administrative support. You will work on your strengths and weaknesses as a business administrator and develop the qualities and skills valued by employers.

HALS Online

Enrolment for all HALS courses is currently free - enrol now for your free place as fees are subject to change.
