Rehousing and Payment Policy Consultation
During April 2018, residents living in Tangmere and Northolt blocks on the Broadwater Farm estate were made aware of the structural problems that had been identified following an investigation.
In June 2018, Homes for Haringey started speaking to residents in Tangmere about the need to find them new homes while the future of the blocks was being considered.
Rehousing and Payment Policy consultation
We were carrying out a consultation as this policy sets out the rehousing and payments offered to secure tenants and resident leaseholders who are living in Tangmere or Northolt, or those who have been moved from one of these blocks since 26 June 2018.
Before completing the consultation we ask that you read the following documents:
- Draft Rehousing and Payments Policy (PDF, 472KB)
- Estate Renewal Rehousing and Payments Policy 2017 (PDF, 237KB)
As this consultation was only for the residents (or former residents) of the Tangmere and Northolt blocks, residents needed to provide their names and addresses so comments can be registered and contribute towards the decision making process.
When the consultation has ended, the council's Cabinet will consider the responses before it makes a final decision. This decision is likely to be made in the Autumn 2018.
Have your say
This consultation closed on Wednesday 10 October 2018. All Tangmere and Northolt residents received a consultation pack.
