Alcohol strategy

How we plan to tackle alcohol harm.

The Haringey Alcohol Strategy and accompanying action plan looks at the wider picture of alcohol harm in Haringey and sets out to address this through a cohesive public health approach to alcohol prevention, harm reduction, and treatment.

It does so by presenting alcohol related harms that affect Haringey residents and committing to actions that address alcohol harms by working in partnership with stakeholders across the borough. This includes an action plan for alcohol harm prevention, that will promote a programme of actions for key leaders across the partnership to deliver.

The documents follow a whole system and life course approach, divided into stages in a person’s life and their environment: Start Well, Live Well and Age Well, and Healthy Place.

This work will play an active role in reducing health inequalities.
