Open House London at Bruce Castle
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September.
Come along for free guided tours of Bruce Castle during Open House London weekend, led by museum staff from 1.15pm, every half-hour. Last tour starts 4pm.
Find out more about the history of this magnificent Grade 1 listed former manor house and the people who lived here, get to see behind the scenes and take a look inside the mysterious Tudor Round Tower. You also will hear the intriguing story of the ghost that haunts Bruce Castle.
The first tour with the Curator on Saturday 21 September can help take turns to wind the beautiful 18th century clock.
Both afternoons there will be a gallery talk with local artist Tania Pascoal of her exhibition of stunning architectural watercolours and sketches of Tottenham. Tania is an architect by profession and was listed as one of the RIBA Young Black Architects of 2018.
The Old Kitchen Café will be open for delicious cake and tea.
On Sunday, the Family Activities gives a chance for children to get dressed up in historical costumes and try out being the Lord or Lady or a servant at the Manor.
