Party on the Green - Chapmans Green Park turns 400! Love Parks Week
Sunday 21 July, 12 noon to 4pm.
Join us for our 400th birthday party!
The Party on The Green marks 400 years since Chapman’s Green was first recorded on a map in 1619. The event will feature stalls and activities, as well as music from local choirs and bands. It will also give us chance to celebrate the contribution of Noel Park Bowls Club as they close their doors after almost a century.
- Help us do something amazing on your doorstep
We’re the Friends of Chapman’s Green - a small park sandwiched between Perth Road and Lordship Lane N22, a short walk from Wood Green Tube Station. We want Chapman’s Green to be a place that everyone can enjoy. We organise community events at the park across the year and we meet once a month on a Sunday for a sixty-minute litter pick.
The Friends are now working with Grow N22 and Haringey Council to explore options for the future of the park - including the pavilion and former bowling green - and we would love to hear your ideas.
Find out more about us on our website, join our mailing list or come along and meet us at the event. We would love to see you!
