#iBelong- Rowing Taster

We would like to see more diversity in Rowing which has for too long been seen as highly elitist and very much lacking diversity However this is slowly changing this is why we have teamed up with Lea Rowing Club to present #iBelong- Rowing Taster. #iBelong is a programme run by Lea Rowing Club to encourage people from different ethnic groups to try out rowing. More information about this will be available on the day.

This session will include a tour around the boathouse. An induction to rowing will take place in the gym on rowing machines before you are let loose on the water. Each boat will be manned by 2 qualified rowing instructors who will help to ensure that you get the most out of the session. You will be rowing from Hackney to Tottenham Hale and back. This will give you plenty of time to get to grips with the techniques needed.
