Sephardic Jewish Songs Workshops with The Telling
Start the New Year by learning some beautiful Sephardic songs with The Telling singer Ariane Prüssner.
Following their popular In Retreat and In Retreat Carols workshop series, Haringey-based music group The Telling is thrilled to present a three-week Sephardic edition to ring in the New Year.
Taking place at the usual In Retreat time of 11am - 11.30am every Friday on Zoom, singer Ariane Prüssner will guide you through at least four beautiful songs from the Sephardic Jewish tradition.
Can't make that time? The sessions will also be made available post-broadcast for Full Access ticket holders to watch at their leisure.
Each session is £5, or buy a full access ticket for all 3 sessions at the discounted price of £12!
Repertoire includes:
- 8 Jan: Durme, durme mi linda donzella and El Rey de muncho madruga
- 15 Jan: Dame la mano, palomba and En el Café de amaneser
- 22 Jan: reminder session and singalong
Each session will take place on Zoom (external link). You don't need a webcam and all will be on mute so you can sing without fear.
In the runup to each workshop, you will be emailed details on how to join via Zoom as well as how to access lyrics/scores.
