If you want to get involved in looking after your neighbourhood, we’d love to hear from you!
We have lots of active groups who look after parks, wildlife areas or litter pick their neighbourhood. The borough is full of residents who want to lead by example and create a borough we can all take pride in. The easiest thing you can do is put your litter in a bin, but let us know if you want to do more and meet other people who care about their neighbourhoods.
Important COVID-19 update
Coronavirus guidance from Keep Britain Tidy (KBT)
We want to make sure that everyone stays safe while doing their bit for the environment and being part of a litter pick. Keep Britain Tidy has prepared some useful guidance to support all volunteers to litter-pick in the safest way possible.
Litter-picking can be carried out alone, in pairs or small groups of up to a maximum of six (including yourself), based on the current government guidance for meeting with people outside of your household.
Please ensure that you are following the local rules in your area and are aware of any local lockdowns that may affect you.
For a full guide on hosting a clean-up and keeping safe, please visit the KBT website (external link)
What we can do
- supply gloves, bags and litter pickers
- arrange a collection point for whatever you clear
- let you know of any active groups in your area
Just drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and tell us what you want to do and we will get you started!
