Community Recycling and Credits
There are community organisations working within Haringey to reuse and recycle different materials.
Local community groups and organisations that collect items for recycling could be eligible to receive a payment (also known as a credit) for the material they send for reuse or recycling.
Only groups that are registered can receive this credit. For more information about the scheme and to register please contact the North London Waste Authority (NLWA( who are running this scheme:

Local and national charities
A number of charities have shops within Haringey. Good quality unwanted clothing, shoes, toys and household goods can be donated to these shops. To find out about your local charity shops you can either ring an organisation direct or use the Find a charity shop section on the Association of Charity Shops website (see external links section).
A number of charities also raise money through recycling schemes. You can support charities by using their schemes to recycle items such as stamps, toner cartridges and mobile phones. Each charity runs their own scheme, more details can be found on the websites for each charity or by asking in the shops. Links to some of the websites are in the external links section at the bottom of this page.
