What if I have been refused registration?
Any person aggrieved by a refusal to be granted a registration should contact us in the first instance.
We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the service provider by you - preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery). If that has not worked, if you are located in the UK, Consumer Direct will give you advice or you can contact us directly. From outside the UK contact the UK European Consumer Centre.
If you wish to complain about the welfare of the animals, nuisance caused by the operation of the boarding establishment etc. or are one licence holder wishing to complain about another use the report a problem page.
What happens if you fail to comply?
Any person who fails to register under this Act, or trains any performing animal with respect to which or in a manner with respect to which he is not registered, or conceals any animal with a view to avoiding such inspection, or applies to be registered under this Act when prohibited from being so registered will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £2,500.
