COVID-19: Increasing pressure on waste services means possible delays. We’re working hard to collect your waste and recycling, but if we miss a collection, please bear with us as we will collect it within 48 hours.
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
The average Haringey resident produces over a third of a tonne of waste each year.
Recycling helps to save some of the materials that are thrown away. However, manufacturing products and transporting them to where they are sold uses a significant amount of energy, as does collecting them from residents and recycling them into new products.
Visit the Recycling pages for more information on our recycling services.
It is better to reduce the amount of waste we produce in the first place, either by buying fewer products or reusing any items we no longer need.
Reducing Your Waste
There are simple actions you can take to reduce the amount of waste you produce. Each of these actions will help to deal with the growing amount of rubbish produced in Haringey and you may find that you save money too.
