Report a Covid concern
We are working in partnership with the police and other agencies to ensure we can reduce the risk of coronavirus in the borough and help protect you and others, avoid further restrictions, and keep businesses open.
If you have concerns a business is not following government guidelines and requirements such as ensuring social distancing, thorough cleaning, track and trace, or closing at 10pm, please report such issues to the Council.
The police are responsible for enforcing the rule of six for gatherings and facemask wearing restrictions. If you have concerns regarding breaches on these matters they can be referred to 101 or 999 (if absolutely necessary). Alternatively, you can report concerns using the form on their website (external link).
Council officers will be working with the police to ensure compliance on the closing times of businesses and the need for contact details. All officers will apply the four E’s (Engage, Explain, Encourage, Enforce) approach. Enforcement will be used where persuasion isn’t working and we will use enforcement powers which include Fixed Penalty Notices and the service of Prohibition Notices.
Together we have a responsibility to reduce the spread of the virus.
Don’t walk on by if you see a breach, we all have a responsibility to do the right thing!
If you have any concerns or wish to report an issue you can do so using the form below or by emailing us at covid19concerns@haringey.gov.uk
