Changes to waste collection times
Haringey Council and Veolia are working hard to ensure that as many waste collection services as possible continue to be provided during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like other local authorities, we are experiencing increased pressure on our waste teams as – with many residents in the borough currently staying at home – more recycling and refuse is being presented at the kerbside.
So that we continue to make sure waste is collected on your allocated day, we will be starting our waste collection rounds a little earlier – and may finish them slightly later – than normal from Monday (20 April).
If we don't manage to collect your household, recycling or garden waste on the usual day, bear with us as we will aim to collect it within 48 hours. We may be running slightly behind, so there is no need to report it.
Our waste collection teams – who are essential key workers – are doing their very best and we thank you for your many messages of support and continued understanding. It means a lot to them and us.
You can help us. Small changes to the way in which you dispose of your refuse safely and responsibly could make a big difference.

Business grants – we need you
We are very aware of the stress being put on businesses during this COVID-19 pandemic and want to assist business owners to navigate through these unprecedented times. Business grants are a priority for local businesses and us. This this is something we are taking very seriously, and we are committed to eligible Haringey businesses receiving their grant payment as soon as possible.
If you are an eligible business but don’t pay the council by Direct Debit, please go to our dedicated COVID-19 Business support web pages and fill in the grant form. If we do not hold you bank details, we cannot pay you your grant funding.
