Business grants - we need you
Supporting Haringey’s diverse and dynamic business community is a priority for Haringey Council. Over 2,300 Haringey businesses, circa 72% of eligible business, have now received £36m in vital business grants.
We need your help
There are still businesses out there eligible for grants that we have been unable to get in contact with or we still need supporting information from. If you are one of the 28% of businesses who haven’t received their grant funding yet, please contact us at COVIDsmallbusinessgrant@haringey.gov.uk. Help us to pay you your grant funding and get in contact today.
Supporting you and your reproductive health
During this time, Haringey residents of all ages can access a range of services to support their sexual and reproductive health. For details of all of our services, including pharmacies, go to our Sexual Health page.
We are also running a weekly Sexual Health Clinic at Morum House (3-5 Bounds Green Road, Wood Green) on Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.
Residents requiring emergency contraception can make use of the walk-in service during the morning session - 9am-12 noon, which is also reserved for pre-booked sexual health appointments for those aged under 25.
Vulnerable women of all ages can also access Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) by pre-booked appointment during the morning session.
In the afternoon there is a walk-in service for young people aged under 19 - 1pm-4pm.
Call the Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust on 020 3317 5252 to book an appointment and telephone assessment.
Haringey Heroes Awards
Do you know someone making a difference in the community during the coronavirus pandemic?
The Mayor of Haringey, Sheila Peacock, has announced a new ‘Haringey Heroes Awards’ to celebrate the borough’s unsung heroes.
Residents are encouraged to come forward and nominate someone who has helped them the most during the outbreak - it could be a volunteer, a bus driver, their local GP surgery a family member or someone who has gone the extra mile to brighten up a neighbour’s day.
Find out more and watch a video from the Mayor. Or nominate someone online.
Using our parks
To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, protect our NHS and save lives, we are urging residents to continue to stay home as much as possible.
If you do visit one of our parks, please remain at least 2 metres from others, and follow all instructions shown there. Please also ensure your dog is on a lead to make sure you are able to stay a safe distance from other people. We will still be carrying out patrols at our parks.
On Sunday the Government updated its guidance around coronavirus (external link) and we are currently reviewing the impact this has on how our parks should be used.
At this time, all playgrounds, outdoor gyms and ballcourts remain closed. We will provide updates on our parks pages if that changes.
Thank you to everyone who has been using our parks responsibly. Together we can save lives.
