COVID-19: Council Tax Reduction update
If you currently get a reduction in your Council Tax because you are on a low income and are of working age, Haringey will reduce your Council Tax bill for 2020/21 by up to £150.00.
If your bill for this year is less than £150.00, the amount you have to pay will be reduced to zero (£0.00).
The reduction will only be applied to the amount you owe for the current tax year. If you have any outstanding Council Tax for previous years, it will still need to be paid.
This reduction will be applied to your bill automatically – you do not need to contact us.
We will send you a new bill with reduced instalments as soon as we can. You should continue to pay your current instalments until your new bill is received.
If you are not working or your income has stopped or reduced due to the coronavirus outbreak, you may qualify for help with your Council Tax.
For further information and to apply see our Council Tax Reduction page.
