Learning to Live Life to the Full
Riverside’s Offer meets the requirements of the 2014 ‘Special educational needs and disability code of practice’ through placing students at the heart of the school’s work with a skilled focus on student progress; emotionally, socially and academically.
The school provides 140 places spread across two sites:
- 128 Main School places for students aged 11-16 from across Haringey with a wide range of general, complex, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties - including those who have complex language and communication needs.
- 12 Learning Centre places for students aged 16-19 who are experiencing exceptional challenges and as a consequence are ‘hard to place’.
From year to year approximately two-thirds of our student population have a diagnosis of autism.
