About The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL)
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London is one of London's top further education colleges for success rates and student course satisfaction. We are proud to offer a welcoming, friendly and lively environment for our students.
With two London bases in Enfield and Tottenham, we offer over 300 vocational courses across a wide range of subjects. We also offer university access, higher education and postgraduate courses (external link), Key Stage 4 courses (external link) and apprenticeships (external link).
CONEL offers excellent progression for young people in skills-based vocational courses, which will get you into the job you want, an apprenticeship or a university degree. We have a fantastic Ofsted report, hundreds of our students go to university each year and 95% of our students pass their qualifications. We have very modern buildings, classrooms and workshops, and we have spent over £20 million on our premises in the last six years to make sure that they are of the very highest quality.
If university is not on your career plan right now, we can offer you an interview with our professional Apprenticeship Recruitment team, who will be happy to match your skills to the vacancies they have with a wide range of employers. You could enrol on a Level 3 Apprenticeship, gain the industry skills you need while working and earning a wage - and you could consider going to university later, once you have been working for a while.
The College feels very different to school in that you are more independent, you are treated more like an adult and you will call your teachers by their first names. All our teachers are also experts in their industry with many years’ experience, so they are fully up to date with the latest working methods. CONEL offers excellent work experience with employers. We are very industry focused with state-of-the-art workshops, salons and equipment for you to train on – just like those you will find once you start working.
CONEL offers great enrichment and mentoring opportunities from workshops and networking with top companies, such as the well-known investment bank Goldman Sachs - to a huge range of sports and cultural events to suit everyone’s tastes. We have a Students’ Union and a Student Representative network, so you can get involved in college life directly and make sure your voice is heard. At college, you will be well supported on your Study Programme, making sure you do well.
All Study Programmes include maths and English if you have not already achieved maths and English GCSEs at grades A* - C. At CONEL, we will help you to develop fully, making you a more confident person with the skills that employers are looking for.
