Pupil Referral Unit

Sometimes, children need support for short periods of time if they are finding it difficult to manage their behaviour in school. In these instances, a child may be referred to a Pupil Referral Unit (known as an 'Alternative Provision') for a short period of time.

In Haringey, these referrals are made to Haringey Learning Partnership (HLP), which is a network of alternative provision schools and services across Haringey. Read more about HLP's offer on their website (external link).

If you are concerned about your child's behaviour at school, you may also want to talk to your school Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
