At Stonecroft we deliver a curriculum based on the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. This describes the seven areas of learning and development which ‘must be implemented through planned, purposeful play’ (EYFS 2017).
The framework states that ‘practitioners must respond to each child’s emerging needs and interests, guiding their development through warm, positive interaction’.
Our team of amazing practitioners put this into practice every day. By developing the skills of playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically, the children are encouraged to build their confidence, independence and a ‘can do’ attitude that shines through everything they do.
Children will have a unique identity when they arrive at Stonecroft and through the use of provocations, continuous provision, planning ‘in the moment’ and expert interactions they will flourish and become equipped for their next stage in life.
