The Business Growth Fund (BGF) was established in 2011 to support smaller and medium sized enterprises to access finance, through making long-term equity investments. BGF is a £2.5bn fund backed by Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, RBS and Standard Chartered aiming to support expansion by providing growth capital.
