Adult Social Care in Haringey

Adult social care in Haringey provides help and support to those aged over 18 years who are vulnerable. Vulnerable people include:

  • older people
  • people with a physical disability, or sight or hearing impairment
  • people with mental health needs
  • people with learning disabilities
  • people who misuse substances (such as drugs and alcohol)
  • people with long-term illness
  • people who need sheltered or supported housing
  • carers

Adult Social Care Directory of Services

We offer a wide range of services, such as:

  • home care and meals on wheels
  • drop-in advice and support centres
  • day opportunities including training and employment initiatives
  • respite and residential care
  • support and rehabilitation on leaving hospital or to prevent hospital admission
  • help for carers

Summary Report of 2006-07 Annual Performance Assessment of Social Care Services for Adults Services in Haringey

On 29 November 2007, CSCI published its Summary Report (see attached files section) for Haringey’s 2006/07 annual performance assessment of social care services for Adult Services.Overall Haringey has shown continuing improvement in performance, in both the delivery and modernisation of social care services for Adults.
