Local Implementation Plan (LIP)
The first Local Implementation Plan covered the period 2005-2011 approved by the Mayor in May 2007.
For the current year (2010/11) the Council has received funding approval from Transport for London for transport projects.
We are seeking funds to progress our work on:
- reducing road accident casualties through local road safety schemes, education, training and publicity schemes and more 20 mph zones
- improving urban realm on Wood Green High Road and Tottenham High Road
- supporting sustainable transport through travel awareness projects
- cycle training and cycle parking
- putting in traffic calming measures in areas close to the North Circular Road
- environmental projects such as the provision of on-street charging points for electric vehicles
- promoting sustainable access to schools through the school travel plan programme and to work through workplace travel plans
- improving the road and bridge infrastructure.
