Grants and Funding

There are many grants available to residents to install measures that will reduce your energy bills. There are also incentives for installing renewable energy provisions such as solar panels. For more information, visit the Energy Saving Trust Grants website in the external links section below.

Also, why not visit an Energy Doctor at one of our libraries. They provide one-to-one help and advice on how you can save energy and money in your home.

Member discounts and freebies

Community fund

This fund aims to support community led action that will help deliver our 40% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020. We are looking for organisations in the borough to take on board 40:20 aims and deliver a project for local people, funding them with grants of between £2,000 to £10,000. Previous winners include the Community Energy Lab in Tottenham and The Highgate 21st Century Homes project.

Supporting the local community to carry out projects is not only a core principle of Haringey 40:20, it will be essential to its success. We recognise that recruiting local people as ambassadors in their own communities is an effective method of encouraging local action. The Fund is administered by the Haringey 40:20 Steering Group - a partnership between the Council and local representatives.

The next funding round will be Autumn 2012.
