Active Strength Gym

The new Active Strength Gym, opened in June 2009 after consultation with the local community and current users and provides a facility for now and the future.

The gym is equipped with Technogym's new Pure Strength™ range of resistance machines.

Technogym says the objective of the Pure Strength™ equipment is to replicate the feeling of using free weights, whilst optimising the performance of each routine through the ergonomic and biomechanical design of the equipment.

The application of advanced biomechanics guarantees that the equipment respects the physiological movement of the body with none of the stress or trauma that using free weights may cause.

Unique features of Technogym Pure Strength

Pure Grip - Thanks to the ergonomic design, the push-and-pull movements are more effective and comfortable thanks to the even load distribution.

The surface features a grainy texture to provide increased grip and prevent lateral slipping. The markings indicate correct hand position and the special aluminium, copper and silicon alloy ensures maximum durability.

Body Print System - The special high-density upholstery filling adapts to the shape of the body, providing a stabilising effect and maximum comfort during exercise.

Visual Flags - Yellow flags show the correct position of body on the equipment to make adjustments easier and training more effective.

Seat Adjustment - Because the machines are built around your body, once you’ve found the seat adjustment best suited to you, it will be the same position for the rest of the PureStrength™ equipment.

Football and Rugby pitches

There are several grass pitches suitable for Football and Rugby. Additionally, there is a floodlit 3rd Generation Astroturf, all weather pitch. A full sized rugby pitch with some floodlighting is also available for hire. Nets are provided and showering and changing rooms are available.

A rugby pitch in the middle of the track is also available for special events, depending on availability. Currently this is used for London Skolars Rugby Club to host their home matches.

Tennis Courts

There are four all weather, floodlit tennis courts available to hire. Tennis rackets can be hired for a refundable deposit. Tennis balls and other equipment can also be purchased. Changing rooms and shower facilities are available.

Athletics Track

The eight lane 400 metre track comes fully equipped with all apparatus for track and field events. It is suitable for events from school sports days to top class athletic meetings. The high quality and great history of the stadium has attracted names like Daley Thompson, Sebastian Coe, Dalton Grant, Dwain Chambers and Tony Jarrett. Enfield and Haringey Athletic Club train anyone with an interest on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.

The track has a full certificate from UK Athletics and is equipped with an announcers' kiosk, car parking, floodlighting, 1000 seater grandstand, PA system, and terracing.

Olympic Suite

The suite is suitable for conferences, dinners and dances, seminars, wedding ceremonies and receptions and other special occasions. It has car parking facilities and a seating capacity for up to 200. There is a stylish bar and kitchens with optional catering available. Staff commitment to quality is a guarantee for a memorable occasion.
