Starting Secondary School in 2012
If you live in Haringey and your child was born between 1 September 2000 and 31 August 2001, you must apply for a secondary school place for September 2012.
If you live outside Haringey, you can still apply for schools in Haringey, but you must list them on the form from your own local authority.
Haringey residents should follow the steps below to apply for a place at secondary school.
We strongly recommend that you apply online for a school place (external website). You can access the internet for free at any Haringey library and you can change your application at any point up until the closing date.
You can download pdf copies of the secondary admissions booklet in the attached files section below.
Paper copies of the secondary admissions booklet and the application form are also available to pick up from all primary schools, children's centres and customer services centres, or call 020 8489 1000 to request a copy to be posted to you. Reference copies are held in all libraries.
PLEASE NOTE: The published dates for the open mornings at Woodside High School were incorrect in some places and we apologise for this. The last open morning at Woodside will take place on Monday 31 October 2011 from 9am to 11am. If parents or carers have any queries, please contact the school directly.

How to apply for a secondary school place
If your child was born on or between 01 September 2000 and 31 August 2001
Read the information about secondary schools here on our website
Read the secondary admissions booklet about the selection process
Find your nearest secondary school using the schools finder service at www.Direct.gov.uk
Decide which 6 schools you would like to list on your application and the order you prefer them. They can be located in Haringey or in another local authority.
Apply online (external website)
or
Complete a paper form (pick up a copy from a primary school, children's centre or customer service centre).
Changing your application
Changing your preferences: you can make changes to your application until the closing date of 31 October 2011.
If you applied online, you can make changes as many times as you like, using the online system, up until 31 October 2011.
If you applied using a paper form, you must contact the Admissions Service in writing before 31 Ocotber 2011. We cannot accept any changes over the telephone.
Changing your address: once you are resident at your new address you must contact us immediately in writing or by email and provide two proofs of your new address. Your child’s records will then be updated.
