How we delivered our BSF Projects
The programme established a number of successful and imaginative processes to identify and refine individual school visions. Separate construction and ICT partners were procured for each project. This was done by choosing agreed partners for design and construction and ICT.
The coordination of all these elements for each project was essential in delivering the overall programme.
The programme has delivered each project on time, and within budget. Working in a genuine partnership with our contractors and experts, has enabled the council to overcome many challenges and earned the programme team a reputation for innovation and efficiency.
Some of the innovative techniques employed on Haringey BSF are now being adopted by other programmes in the council and beyond. For example, many of the BSF construction partners have adopted Haringey’s programme governance principles, (particularly around financial control of project variations) with other clients as they are acknowledged as representing industry best practice.
Secondary schools are already starting to see immediate improvements under BSF through better and more modern ICT, such as computers and interactive whiteboards. You can read more about how we delivered our projects in the attached files section.
