Council Training Schemes

The Council runs a number of schemes each year to enable people to undergo training for specific jobs. These include:

Graduate Trainee Scheme
Recruiting graduates to take on challenging placements across front-line services, strategy and support. There is no recruitment for the graduate scheme in 2011. If recruitment resumes in 2012 information will appear here in the spring.
Social Worker Trainee Scheme
Currently Haringey is not offering the Social Work Trainee Scheme. If recruitment resumes, information will appear here.

If you have missed the closing date for the scheme you are interested in, please check the website regularly as details are updated when the next round of recruitment takes place.

Vocational Training

If there is a particular area you want to work in but you don't have the skills or experience you need, starting vocational training can be one of the best ways to improve your employability and gain the confidence and experience you'll need to land the job. Haringey Guarantee advisors can assist you with developing an action plan working towards your career goals.

If you do not meet the criteria for the Haringey Guarantee, Haringey Adults Learning Service offer a range of vocational courses. You may also find the right course at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL). You can reach the CONEL website by clicking through from the external links section below.

Apprenticeships

The recruitment to this year's apprenticeship programme has now closed.

Please note: No apprenticeships are being offered for the academic year 2010/11 and a decision about whether or not to continue the programme next year will be made in the Spring of 2011.

Apprenticeships in Trade Areas
