Bank Holiday and Public Holiday Parking Enforcement

On bank holidays and public holidays, free parking is available in all on-street pay and display parking bays and in all Council car parks. Vehicles parked within a Controlled Parking Zone are not required to display a valid residents permit or visitors permit when parking in residents or shared used use bays within the Borough on these days.

There are some exceptions to this rule and the following restrictions remain enforceable:

• Double Yellow Line restrictions
• Footway Parking
• Disabled Bays
• Bus Stops
• Zigzags (ie pedestrian crossings)
