Save Energy – You Can Make a Difference

We are working with the Energy Saving Trust to help you save energy and make a difference to climate change by reducing your carbon dioxide emissions.

There are a range of ways for you to get the information you need to make a difference.

  • Visit the Energy Saving Trust website (external link) or call 0800 512 012 for free, local and impartial energy advice tailored to you. The Energy Saving Trust are a non-profit organisation that provide advice to help you save money and fight climate change. On their website you can get a personalised action plan to help you cut carbon, search for grants to help you save energy and find out more about climate change.
  • Download a leaflet on how to save up to £270 a year on your home energy bill from the Energy Saving Trust website (external link).
  • Read our Energy Top Tips to get ideas for how you can save energy in your home, at work and on the move.
  • Attend an Environmental Advice Session for one-to-one advice on saving energy in your home.
  • Borrow an energy monitor from a Haringey library to help you understand your electricity usage.
  • If you're thinking of making changes to your home the Council's Greening Your Home Guide gives practical advice on a range of options for making it more environmentally friendly.
  • See information on heat loss from homes, and where in Haringey there is the most potential to tackle this.
