What is the Active Card?

The Active Card is Haringey's Leisure Membership scheme. It lets you enjoy great savings at all of our Leisure Centres.

Membership options

There are different memberships available to suit your needs with no contract to tie you in for a number of months. You can choose from:

• Active Gold Membership gives users that wish to do a number of activities including Active Gym, group exercise classes, swimming, sauna, steam and racquet sports including badminton, squash, tennis and table tennis. A one off joining fee is applicable on first application of this membership, details below. A corporate discounted version is available for some companies - see Active Gold Corporate eligibility for more details.
• Active Silver Membership provides unlimited access to the new Active Strength Gym at White Hart Lane Community Sport Centre, and the group exercise classes at both White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre and Broadwater Farm Community Centre. Membership also includes access to racquet sport, swimming sessions, aquafit classes, sauna/steam at relevant sites and the running track at White Hart Lane.
• Active Blue Membership is aimed at the regular swimmer. This monthly or yearly membership gives you inclusive access to all swimming sessions, aqua fitness classes, ante/post natal swim sessions, steam and sauna rooms.
• Advantage Plus and Advantage Membership (Monthly Option) are aimed at helping users who are on a low income. Details of who is eligible for these concessionary memberships are below. Both of these memberships give unlimited access to all individual activities included in the Active Gold card with the exception of use of the Active Gyms after 5pm Monday to Friday at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre and Park Road Leisure Centre, when you will be asked to pay a surcharge of £2.30. For Active Gym usage after 5pm Monday to Friday members can use the gym at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre with no surcharge payable. In addition courses such as swimming lessons or trampolining courses are eligible for a discount with Advantage Plus and Advantage. • Advantage Plus and Advantage (Pay and Play Option) is designed for users that do not use the leisure centre facilities more than once a week. This option gives a discount off all individual activities and is available for both adults and children. For more information please visit our concessions and eligibility page.

Before using the Active Gym all users are required to pay a joining fee, whether taking out a monthly membership or paying as they go. As part of the joining fee all users will then be required to complete an Active Introduction. The joining fee varies dependant on customer's status from £6 to £36. How do I apply?

Ask at the Leisure Centre’s reception desk for an application form.

If you're under 16, over 60, registered disabled, a full-time student, a Haringey Council employee, or if you're receiving benefits you could be eligible for a lower concessionary fee or membership. Proof of this status and in some cases proof of address will be required. Please visit our concessions and eligibility page to find out exactly what proof you need.

Pay and Play Memberships (Advantage Plus and Advantage)

We offer two discount Pay and Play membership options for users that do not visit very often and on a lower income. These are called Advantage Plus or Advantage, for eligibility of these memberships please see our concessions and eligibility page of who can apply. Eligible customers can purchase one of these memberships for £1.00 and will need to bring documented proof in every 6 or 12 months to retain the membership.

Pay and Play: If you wish to pay as you go for a standard activity then you can pay by cash, card or cheque.

Direct Debits: The Active Gold or Active Blue membership can be paid for by Direct Debit, giving you cash-free access with added value. Once you have completed the application form (available from any of the Leisure Centres) you can start to enjoy our facilities straight away.

If paying by direct debit, you will need to make an initial cash, card or cheque payment. This is because direct debit payments start at the beginning of every month, so, depending upon the day you join, this amount will vary on pro rata basis. Please ask a member of the reception team for details of the amount.

Alternatively you can pay the monthly fee by cash or cheque.

Note: cheques must be supported by a current cheque guarantee card and direct debit payments must be for a minimum of three months.

Debit and Credit Cards

We can accept payment via debit and credit cards displaying the on of the following: Eurocard, MasterCard, Visa Delta, Visa - Electron, Maestro - Switch and Solo. At present we are unable to accept card payments at the Haringey Sixth Form Centre.

       

Note: Unfortunately at present we are unable to accept debit or credit card payments via the Internet or telephone.
