Employment

The most common way to measure unemployment figures is to use the claimant count rates.  The Greater London Authority (GLA) publish these figures monthly at both borough and ward level.

A table showing the trend in the rate of unemployment in Crouch End and Haringey is attached at the bottom of the page.

Haringey

  • In June 2006, 8,410 (7.9%) of Haringey residents were registered unemployed
  • During the period November 2005 and June 2006 unemployment across the borough stayed the same 7.9%.

Crouch End

  • In June 2006, 245 (3.8%) of Crouch End residents were registered unemployed
  • During the period November 2005 and June 2006 unemployment across Crouch End rose from 3.7% to 3.8%
  • Out of the 625 London wards, Crouch End has the 339th highest unemployment rate.
