Northumberland Development Project

On the 30 September 2010, Haringey Council's planning committee granted planning consent to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) for a comprehensive redevelopment of the existing stadium site. In addition to a new 56,250 seat stadium, the revised proposals include a 200 housing unit set along Park Lane, a 150 room hotel situated on Worcester Avenue which will overlook the proposed larger public square, a large food store and new Club Megastore, as well as a new courtyard setting for the retained historic buildings.

What is happening next?

While Haringey Council has decided to approve the planning application the Council has to refer the decision to the Mayor of London who can decide to call in the planning application and determine the application if he considers it to be of strategic importance.
