Development Management - Development Plan Document

Development Management DPD

What is the Development Management DPD?

The Development Management DPD forms part of the Local Development Framework which is the folder of documents, in which the Core Strategy is the main document, to guide planning and development in the borough for the next 15 years. We consulted on the DPD in May/June 2010. We are now collating and processing the responses in order to inform the next draft of this DPD.

The Development Management DPD will set out a detailed and wide variety of policies to guide the decision making process for future planning applications.

How does it fit in with the Core Strategy?

The Development Management policies document supports the emerging Core Strategy through more detailed policies which will be used to assess and determine planning applications. The policies will assist in delivering the objectives of the Council’s Core Strategy and the London Plan.

The Development Management DPD is in line with the objectives set out in the Council Core Strategy and Sustainable Community Strategy.

Next steps

All duly made responses received will be considered and the document will be revised accordingly in preparation for submission to the Secretary of State. Before submission the document will undergo a further six week consultation to allow for any further representations.
