Enabling Session Cookies
How to enable session cookies in your browser:
Choose your browser:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0
- Firefox 2.0
- Firefox 1.0 or 1.5
- Opera 8.0 or 9.0
- Opera 7.0
- Safari
- Lynx
- Netscape 6.0
- Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5
- Internet Explorer 4.0
- Internet Explorer 3.0
- Netscape Communicator 4.0
- Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab at the top of the window.
- Make sure that the slider is set at a level not higher than Medium.
- The bottom of the slider section of the Security window contains several buttons. Click on the one marked Advanced.
- In the new window under the Cookies section, check the box labelled "Override automatic cookie handling".
- Now you will see the other settings that are enabled and can be configured.
- Under the First-party Cookies section, click the Accept button.
- Under the Third-party Cookies section, click on the Block button.
- Check the box labelled "Always allow session cookies."
- Click on OK.
- Click on OK again.
- Choose Tools, then

- Click the Privacy icon
- Choose Tools, then

- Click the Privacy icon
- Click the Cookies tab
- Choose Tools, then
- Preferences
- Advanced
- Cookies
- Choose File, then
- Preferences
- Privacy
- Click Preferences on the menu bar
- On the Security icon
- Under Accept Cookies the Always or Only from sites you navigate to must be selected
- Save changes by clicking OK
- Press O for Options
- Look for General Preferences and Cookies
- Set it to either ask user or accept all (more convenient)
- Save changes by selecting Accept Changes
- Choose Edit, then
- Preferences
- Click on Advanced
- Click on Cookies
- Choose Tools, then
- Internet Options
- Click the Security tab
- Click on Custom Level
- Scroll down to the sixth option to see how cookies are handled by IE5 and change to Accept, Disable, or Prompt for action as appropriate.
- Choose View, then
- Internet Options
- Click the Advanced tab
- Scroll down to the yellow exclamation icon under Security and choose one of the three options to regulate your use of cookies.
- Choose View, then
- Options
- Click on Advanced
- Click on the button that says Warn before Accepting Cookies.
- Choose Edit, then
- Preferences
- Click on Advanced
- Set your options in the box that says Cookies.
