Inanimate
Using Cockpit Arts as a base and artist Tal Rosners’ classic animation ‘Without You’ as a starting point, four artists from Artscope explored the local urban architecture of Bloomsbury through photography.

Images captured ‘spontaneous happenings‘ (like shadow play), ‘chance discoveries’ (hidden wildlife) and the more obvious architectural details (industrial doors, rusting window frames). This was done using a high-spec digital camera, mobile phone and Polaroid cameras.
A series of short animations drew on this wealth of imagery, bringing new life to this anonymous dead-end street.
Long-term Artscope contributor and photographer Jo Hill provided the photographic lead with Artscope’s Patricia Rangel ensuring that the group recorded their experiences by producing a superb short film.
