Project loans
This service provides a selection of non-fiction, fiction and dual language books and a variety of non-book resources (artifacts, models, videos, and wall charts) for loan to teachers in primary and special schools. These are linked to the National Curriculum and the wider curriculum from the Foundation Stage to lower Key Stage 3.
Fixed loan term of one school term.
Loan of up to 35 books per teacher / per class (subject to availability).
Cost £75.

Our resource boxes contain specially prepared activities, images and handling objects which are designed to use in the classroom to support the National Curriculum.
Fixed loan term of one school term.

|Back to TopPrimary Art loan scheme (PALS)
Primary and special schools in Haringey who buy in to the service also have access to the Primary Art Loan scheme (PALS). Each box contains objects and artifacts on a particular theme e.g. African Artifacts, Carnival Sculpture, Women Artists. The contents can be used as a focus for central display and as a stimulus for work in many areas of the curriculum.
Fixed loan term of ½ school term (return dates will be advised).
A loan of a box of themed items available for display and use within the school; subject to availability.
Fixed loan term of one school term.
Loan of one resource box per teacher / per class (subject to availability).
Cost £60.

Teachers can choose either a fiction or poetry box per class, per term. The boxes contain 30 pre-selected books for specific age groups or key stages and are issued for one term.
Fixed loan: term of half a school term.
Loan of one collection box per teacher / per class (subject to availability).

We stock a range of quality books by both contemporary and classic authors and with many different genres, to support the development of literacy in schools. Schools can choose either a 30 book collection or a 40 book collection.
Fixed loan term of half a school term.

Do you have children in your school with English as an additional language (EAL)?
We have combined with the Public Library Service to gather a collection of materials for loan to support this need. Currently these are mostly picture books. Titles are available in at least 15 languages including: Turkish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Polish. We will loan up to 20 books, in a selection of languages

Loan of one collection box per teacher / per class (subject to availability).
Cost: £40.

The School Services Librarian can advise on the setting-up and organisation of school libraries and can evaluate, weed and classify stock for Primary schools. Support and training for library staff in schools is also available.
Cost of advisory work for one day is £225.
